Cabinet maker Michael Mancini has dedicated his life to the making of practical furniture that is also strikingly beautiful. With skills possessed only by genuine artisans; Michael designs, innovates and restores on behalf of clients major and minor, corporate and individual, traditional and idiosyncratic.
For as long as he can remember, Michael Mancini has been fascinated by working with wood, and in handmaking furniture in particular.
Early fascination became a passion, until Michael was designing and creating his own, original pieces, as well as responding to the ideas of others with his own, unique solutions to help reach - and surpass - the most demanding expectations.
Today, the early fascination is a profession, dedicated to supreme artisanship.
"I'll gladly collaborate with clients, as private individuals, architects, interior designers or corporate commissioners, in search of the most engaging answers. I love to intrigue and delight people by suggesting unexpected materials, shapes, textures and colours. Whether the journey requires modern technology or traditional handcrafting skills, I can help find the best possible way forward."
"Function is paramount ... but I believe that form, appearance and touch are all part of the function. Beauty and presence are integral to every piece, as they are to every life."
